Reform Judaism affirms the central tenets of Judaism — God, Torah, and Israel — while acknowledging the diversity of Reform Jewish beliefs and practices. Reformed Jews believe that Judaism must change and adapt to the needs of the day to survive, and see the Torah as a living, God-inspired document that enables adherents to confront the challenges of everyday lives. The vernacular language is used in most services.
Revelation is seen as coming through the human spirit and nature, as well as sacred text. Reform Judaism acknowledges the holiness present throughout creation – in individuals, in community, and in the world at large – through practice that includes reflection, study, worship, and ritual.
