The Sunni school of
thought A Muslim school of thought that recognizes the
first four caliphs as the rightful successors to
Muhammad (pbuh). Adherents of
this majority Muslim outlook are more willing to accept the leadership of
any caliph whose rule affords proper exercise of religion and the
maintenance of order in the Muslim world. A Sunni Muslim
theocratic state is determined by the prevailing political realities of
the Muslim world. The majority of the particular community determine the
views and customs that will prevail. Links: Islamic
